EECLIP is a universal programmer for SOP8 serial eeproms devices which works through common PC USB port. It doesn’t require an additional power supply. With the EEClip programmer most of the common serial interface eeproms can be programmed (SPI, I2C or IIC, Microwire). Most eeproms with SOP8 packages can be programmed in circuit using the adapter cables. Note there may be circuitry preventing in-circuit programming in which case the eeprom will have to be removed for programming. Supplied with Windows systems software (XP/Vista/7 – both 32 and 64 versions) that can read and write the connected eeproms. The software automatically recognizes more than 2000 supported devices (autodetect function). Software can also automatically update the EEClip firmware.
Designed to be easy to use - read or write a device in just 2 clicks.
Power supply - no external power supply needed. It can also supply up to 300mA power to the connected (target) device. EECLIP can work both on 3V and 5V devices.
Autodetect: - the software automatically recognizes the connected device.
Editor: - you can use and connect the majority of the editors on the market (for instance 010 Editor, HxD, etc) with the EECLIP software. At Darkwire we use Hex Workshop.
Connecting cables: - each cable is dedicated to specific device' categories (for instance with cable 93 you can read all kinds of SOP8 93xx both 8 and 16 bits data) and there is a specific cable for each eeproms class. Cables for each device category are available to purchase separately.
